JOHI promotes access to quality education for both refugees and host communities, ensuring inclusive learning opportunities that support children's development, resilience, and future livelihoods.
Community-centred programs that address the root causes of vulnerability.
JOHI delivers integrated programs across seven technical areas — from youth skills development and health to protection, livelihoods, WASH, shelter, and education. Every intervention is designed with communities, not for them, using participatory approaches that promote ownership, sustainability, and accountability.
JOHI works with both refugee and host communities across Kitgum, Lamwo, Kikuube, Arua, and Kiryandongo.
Assess
Conduct participatory needs assessments with community members.

Co-design programs with communities, local authorities, and partners.

Deliver targeted interventions through trained community facilitators.
